The Penrose Water District is accepting applications for the permanent/fulltime position of System & Facilities Worker.

Primary service in this position is work in the operation and maintenance of the District's water treatment plant, distribution system, and related facilities. This position offers guaranteed overtime with income ranging from $37,900 - $39,800 per year.

Requirements:

• In-District residency, i.e. employed individuals must live within the boundaries of the Penrose Water District
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Colorado Driver's License with clear record
• Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening
• Must obtain both a Colorado Class 'D' Treatment Plant Operator License and a Class 1 Distribution Operator License within 1-year of employment
• Mandatory weekend operations and on-call response duties during non-business hours on a rotating schedule
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. and lift to a height of 4 feet
• Must be able to dig with shovels, walk, bend, twist and crouch

• Response as available at all times for emergency duties with a focus on the ability to perform physical labor at any time and in all weather conditions
• Skills in computer software and basic math
• Ability to use tools and other equipment associated with operation and maintenance of the District's water plant and distribution system
