Equal Opportunity Statement and Compliance with Federal Civil Rights Laws

The Penrose Water District (PWD) does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability in the administration of its programs, services, or activities.

This notice is provided pursuant to 40 C.F.R. Parts 5 and 7, which implement the following federal civil rights statutes:

  • Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 — prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin
  • Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 — prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability
  • The Age Discrimination Act of 1975 — prohibits discrimination on the basis of age
  • Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 — prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs and activities
  • The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 — prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability

Filing a Complaint

If you believe you have been discriminated against in connection with a PWD program, service, or activity, you may file a written complaint with the Non-Discrimination Coordinator at the address above. Complaints should be filed within 180 days of the alleged discriminatory act.
